Emilie Jäger Lecture 2025 – Digital In/Justice and Data Feminism

What if data were a site of resistance rather than control? In this public lecture, Prof. Dr. Catherine D’Ignazio (MIT) explored how feminist collectives around the world are documenting feminicides to make gender-based violence visible. Drawing on her concept of data feminism, she highlighted how care-based data activism opens new imaginaries for transformative data justice.

Digital In/Justice Networking Event

How do we build meaningful collaborations across disciplines, sectors, and communities? This interactive event brought together researchers, activists, and civil society actors working on critical questions of digitalization. Through professional speed dating, thematic stations and informal exchanges, participants explored shared interests and opportunities for collaboration across career stages.
